Burghtoberfest – Burghfield Village Hall – Friday 20th October 2023

It was a lively evening, that’s for sure! Thanks to the Mysterious Brewing Company for hosting the event (great beer, by the way!) Do you want to see some of the action? First off, very appropriately, ‘Bier Her’!

And once you have your beer, what’s next but the great Oktoberfest toast ‘Ein prosit’!

You’ll definitely know this one – ‘Rosamunde – The Beer Barrel Polka’! Roll out the barrel …..!

Get those marching boots on for this unofficial Tyrolean anthem – ‘Dem land Tyrol die Treue’!

Marching not your thing? How about a more sedate German Waltz medley?

‘Esel Lied – Donkey Song’ is a great singalong – if you only know the words! ‘Hey Babariba!…I ha I ha I ha Oh!’ – that’s all you need!

‘Eine Letzte Runde’ One last Round? Don’t worry – there’s lots more to come!

This one’s a great test of pronunciation when you’ve had a few – ‘Fuchsgraben Polka’!

Traditional Oktoberfest tunes not your thing? How about a few singalong favourites? ‘Sweet Caroline’, maybe?

No evening would be complete without a bit of ‘Delilah’ by the great TJ!

Or a bit of Abba? On your feet then for a bit of ‘Dancing Queen’!

It’s always a good idea to learn the ‘Macarena’ before you go to any Oktoberfest event!

Anyone remember The Monkeys? Here’s a bit of ‘I’m a believer’.

It’s not all about singing and dancing, though! The hat game always goes down a storm! A bit like musical chairs without the chairs!

Another popular singalong – ‘Hey baby!’

And one from the 1960s folk revival – ‘500 miles’ made famous by the Proclaimers.

If you can’t do the Macarena, how about ‘YMCA?

Maidenhead and Bray Cricket Club – Saturday 7th October 2023

What a great crowd – MBCC certainly know how to celebrate Oktoberfest! Thanks for the food and drink, guys! ‘It’s not unusual’ – always a favourite!

Anyone for a drink? Ein prosit!

Ana a bit of Abba always goes down well – here’s a taste of ‘Dancing Queen’!

Hurst Show and Country Fayre – Sunday 25th June 2023

We definitely got toes tapping at the Hurst Show and Country Fayre!
