One of the most impressive sports clubs in the South East has to be Pinewood Football Club! Just check out how many players there are in the many competitive teams: https://www.pinewoodfootballclub.co.uk/! The Awards Day is naturally a very special event in the calendar of Pinewood Football Club and Bandissimo is delighted to add some musical vibes to the occasion!

Situated just outside Wokingham town centre in a quiet residential area, Glebelands House Care Home provides award winning 24-hour nursing and residential care in a warm and friendly environment. Previously a home for people in the Film and TV industry, it now caters for all. If you’re interested, check it out: https://www.greensleeves.org.uk/care-homes/glebelands-wokingham/

This will be our first visit to Glebelands – we’re really looking forward to getting some feet tapping as we share some popular songs and music from the shows from 2pm – 4pm.

Please note that this event is for the residents of Glebelands and their family and friends.

The Link Visiting Scheme is close to our hearts as many of us play in BWCB’s Second Wind band which has chosen the Link as their charity of the year. It brings connection and community to older people and volunteers in Wokingham Borough.

With a small performing area available, Bandissimo is delighted to support the Link’s Summer Party with a variety of popular music to lift the spirits and get those feet tapping!

Please note that this event is by invitation only. For further information about the work of this award-winning charity, please check out www.linkvisiting.org.

The Hurst Show organisers loved our previous performances as an Oompah band so we’re going to do it again! Dirndls and lederhosen will be the attire of the day and the music will be typical of Oktoberfest – lots of traditional numbers from Austria and Bavaria as well as some popular singalongs! Don’t miss us – we’ll be playing in the Music Tent on Martineau Green from 1.30pm to 2.50pm.

Centre Forward Bowls Club are funding and organising a Tea Dance for residents of Winnersh! We’re delighted to have been asked to play at this event and look forward to getting guests on their feet and having a great time! Thanks for the offer of a delicious tea – you know how to win us over! We’ll be playing from 2,30pm – 5pm, with a short break for the raffle.

Four times a year, the Age UK team of volunteers put on a magnificent event for their guests, including a scrumptious tea and the opportunity to dance to live music. We are delighted that Bandissimo is their band of choice (and we’re not just saying that because we get treated to a lovely tea too)! It’s an honour to play for these guests who have such a zest for living and such energy – trying to choose the best dancers is quite a challenge. Thanks for inviting us back, Bella – we’re looking forward to it!

We’re delighted to support the Patronal Festival of St James’s Church on Sunday 26th July! There will be a lot going on, including live music performed by us from 2pm – 4pm (with a short break in the middle as we can’t resist the offer of a cream tea!). Why don’t you come along and support this event?

St James’s Church is in Church Lane, Finchampstead, RG40 4LU.

The villagers of Bray and their friends certainly know how to celebrate Oktoberfest in style! Following last year’s highly successful event at Bray Village Hall, Oompah! will be donning their traditional Bavarian costumes again to raise the roof with more thigh-slapping music typical of a traditional Oktoberfest. Plenty of beer, food, games, hearty singing and fun are all on the agenda! Dig out your lederhosen and dirndls – it’s an event not to be missed!
