Thames Hospice serves the community of East Berkshire and South Buckinghamshire, working in partnership with local healthcare colleagues to provide specialist palliative and end-of-life care services to people aged 16 and over in their own homes and within the Hospice. Highly skilled doctors and nurses work with patients and their families to develop a complete programme of care tailored to their needs, treating everyone with dignity and respect. Their services are free of charge to all those in the community who need vital hospice care but this is only made possible through the charitable support and generosity of the community: whilst they receive a 30% financial contribution towards their operating costs funded by NHS England, they need to raise £39,000 each day to fund their services 365 days a year.

Bandissimo is delighted to be able to support this evening fundraising event and will be playing at 7.45pm.

It’s always a pleasure to entertain at the Wade Day Care Centre – Bandissimo is looking forward to getting some toes tapping with a feast of popular music between 10am and 12pm.

WADE is a local charity offering support to anyone over sixty in Wokingham and the surrounding areas. At the Day Care Centre, they provide a warm and friendly environment to mix and socialise. Some simply come along for lunch and a change of scene from their own home and the opportunity to see friends. Others have the early stages of dementia, and a day out in safe, caring and stimulating surroundings allows their caregivers some much-needed respite. Through the charity, they are also able to offer subsidised day care.

The Centre is open from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm Monday to Friday (excluding bank and public holidays). They currently have a few places available – for further information, call 0118 978 7025 or use the contact form at https://wadecentre.org.uk/contact/.

We’re delighted to have been invited back to Promise Inclusion’s club night for an evening of lively music which will promise to include enthusiastic singing and dancing by the club members themselves!

Promise Inclusion is a local, independent registered charity which supports adults and children with learning disabilities and/or autism, their parents, carers and their families. Tuesday night is club night for adults and you couldn’t wish for a livelier, more responsive audience!

Following the huge success of their last Tea Dance, Help the Aged and their fantastic volunteers are running another to include a delicious tea and live music provided by Bandissimo. If it’s anything like last time, we expect lots of people on their feet showing us just how to dance! Watch out, Strictly!

The Link Visiting Scheme is close to our hearts as many of us play in BWCB’s Second Wind band which has chosen the Link as their charity of the year. It brings connection and community to older people and volunteers in Wokingham Borough.

With a small performing area available, Bandissimo is delighted to support the Link’s Summer Party with a variety of popular music to lift the spirits and get those feet tapping!

The villagers of Bray and their friends certainly know how to celebrate Oktoberfest in style! Following last year’s highly successful event at Bray Village Hall, Oompah! will be donning their traditional Bavarian costumes again to raise the roof with more thigh-slapping music typical of a traditional Oktoberfest. Plenty of beer, food, games, hearty singing and fun are all on the agenda! Dig out your lederhosen and dirndls – it’s an event not to be missed!
